Yesterday was the first LIVE auction in the Netherlands in months! Because of the Covid-19 virus, everything is different than usual, including the auctions. In search of new opportunities, Starsale Auctions and Veiling Dronten decided to join forces and work together to support the breeders.

This has resulted in a live auction and at the same time the possibility to bid online worldwide. At the beautiful location of the HJC Manege in Tolbert, there was a beautiful ring with an attractive grandstand, while there was always enough space everywhere to keep the necessary distance from each other.
Auctioneer Frederick de Backer had a great start: a beautiful sculpture, made by Maurice and Tanja den Boer of Kunstzinnige Zaken, was auctioned for charity and was sold for € 1550, -. The auction organizations increased this amount by another € 1000, so that a beautiful check of
€ 2550 could be handed over to Stichting Wensambulance Noord-Nederland.

This auction bidding was possible live, by telephone and online. Many buyers from both the Netherlands and abroad took advantage of this. Foals have been sold online to England, Hungary, Sweden, Germany and Ireland.
Most expensive one was the filly Paradis de Larcotique SPS (Bamako de Muze x Diamant de Semilly) with € 21,000, she will remain in the Netherlands.
