How do I register as a bidder for Veiling Dronten?
Registration takes place via the bidder form on this website. The secretariat will then contact you personally to activate your bidder number, answer any questions about the collection, and grant you access to the X-ray reports of the registered horses.
How does the live show jumping horse auction proceed?
The auction takes place in the indoor arena of Hippisch Centrum Flevodrome. You can bid live on-site, in advance via a written bid, or by telephone during the auction evening with a personal ringmaster on the line, which is ideally suited for international buyers.
Can I view the horses beforehand?
Yes, we organize open viewing days in the week preceding each edition. You will see the collection in motion, free gaits, on the lunge, and (for sport horses) under saddle, meet the breeder personally, and view the complete 18-photo X-ray package. Ridden horses are in training at Stal Bakker-Frederiks starting two weeks before the auction. Would you like to view or try out a horse there? Please contact Henk directly at +31 6 13 44 64 51. Three-year-olds are with their owners and can be viewed in the stables on the day of the presentation.
How is international transport arranged?
We are happy to assist you with the transport of your horse, both within the Netherlands and abroad. Exactly what we arrange and what is at the buyer's expense is described in the auction terms and conditions. Please note that separate terms and conditions apply to sport horses and foals, so consult the terms and conditions associated with your purchase.
What are the costs and commissions at Veiling Dronten?
A buyer's commission of 10% plus VAT is added to the hammer price. No hidden costs; all commissions and any transport costs are communicated transparently in advance, so you know exactly where you stand.
What guarantees does Veiling Dronten offer on the horses offered?
Each horse undergoes a comprehensive clinical and radiological examination by recognized equine veterinarians. Sport horses are additionally assessed under saddle for rideability, power, and jumping aptitude. The complete documentation, pedigree, MAG status, and all veterinary reports are available to registered buyers.
